Weekend Reading: The Mist-Filled Path

The Mist-Filled Path

"One of the most interesting subjects in Celtic spirituality is how place can foster peace — a sense of harmony and healing. In the practices and meditations scattered throughout the book, MacEowen presents ways to a deeper communion with the earth, ancestors, and the movements of the soul. He writes poetically about longing (which is called a Celtic pastime), reclaiming our holy senses, expanding earth awareness, listening for the heartbeat of God, and opening ourselves to the energies of the Divine Feminine. The Mist-Filled Path ends with the author's personal benediction: 'May you and the life of your soul grow green again.'" ~~Spirituality and Practice

"Perhaps the most profound gift the book gave me was a deepening of my sense of comfort and rightness in the label ‘druid’, which I had adopted as my own just a few months before, and the path circumscribed by that term." ~~Jeff Lilly, Druid Journal

I can truly say that this book changed my life! It helped me identify and acknowledge big shifts in my spirituality, gave me support for my spiritual path when I needed it and validated my need for mystic experience as part of my spiritual practice.

I highly recommend it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Thanks for bringing this book to my attention! I've been wanting to connect with the traditions of my Irish and Scottish ancestors, and this looks like a good help for that.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and sharing your thoughts! Let me know where you are and I'll come say hello at your place next.

By the way, I know that sometimes my readers disagree with what I say here and I wanted to let you know that not only is it okay with me if you happen to as well, but you also are welcome to tell me so, as long as you do so kindly.

Have a great day!
