Identify Your Theology: Third Question

Identify Your Theology:
Third Question

In Friday's post, I asked you to think about how your spiritual beliefs have shifted over the years. We have our third question for today, but first, take some time to center & ground yourself.

Head on over to your retreat room so you can relax and let go of any of the day’s stress before giving your thoughts to our next question. Or you can listen here...

Your Own Personal Jesus...

If you could create or design your own god, goddess or deity, what would the divine be like? What qualities would the divine have and what would your relationship be like?

"Your own personal Jesus. Someone to hear your prayers, someone who cares." ~"Your Own Personal Jesus," ~Depeche Mode

"You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." ~Anne Lamott

Journal Questions

Now that you’ve read today’s question and a quote or two to get you thinking, head on back into the mini-retreat to blow out the candle, close the retreat and to see the journal questions and the blessing I’ve recorded for you.

Want to see my book list for these questions? Visit my Twenty Questions store.

Have a great day!

  2. I have taken my faith back to the "old ways." I live in gratitude, I say "thank you" a bazillion times throughout the day and evening. I spend a lot of time outside surrounded by the purest beauty. My peace is the mountains..

  4. Ummm...this is quite a thought provoking question! When I get frustrated I often wonder why everything has to be such a mystery...then I realize it just kinda has to be that way ...

    1. The mystery sometimes frustrates me, too! And then something will happen that helps me understand just a little more, or just a little better, and I feel so much better.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and sharing your thoughts! Let me know where you are and I'll come say hello at your place next.

By the way, I know that sometimes my readers disagree with what I say here and I wanted to let you know that not only is it okay with me if you happen to as well, but you also are welcome to tell me so, as long as you do so kindly.

Have a great day!
