Identify Your Theology: Asking Twenty Questions about Spiritual Beliefs

Intro, Part One

Twenty Questions...

????????????????????

How long has it been since the last time you examined or explored your spiritual beliefs?

"We define a belief as an idea that you hold to be true. Because a belief contains a piece of 'how the world really is' to you, it acts as a filter for your reality. The filters of your beliefs are so strong that they typically allow in only information that matches the filters and will screen contradictory input. A concept or idea that does not match your filters will generally be ignored or rejected." ~Joyce & River Higginbotham

That suggests that it's a good idea to take out your beliefs once in a while and examine them closely to make sure they still fit the way they did when you adopted them and took them home. This month's blog posts will give you a chance to take a look at your spiritual beliefs.

Each day this month, I'll be asking a new question, or set of questions about what you believe. The divine, the universe, good, evil ~ it's all in there! :)

Though occasionally there will be other posts, like the wishing/blessing posts on Wednesday afternoons, this month is devoted to those questions.

So if it has been a while since you last examined what you believe, I invite you to come along on this journey with us.

We start tomorrow!

See you then! :)

Important disclaimer: your mileage may vary!! I will be presenting both questions and quotes for your consideration, and in some cases, sharing my own thoughts. You may disagree with me, the authors of the quotes I have chosen or other commenters. That is totally okay and you are welcome to tell me so, as long as you do so kindly.

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Jeanine, it surely looks interesting. I have never thought about my spiritual beliefs, infact tried to suppress them thinking they are not important. But ii would be good to know. I will definitely try to follow you in this journey.

Thanks so much for coming to visit and sharing your thoughts! Let me know where you are and I'll come say hello at your place next.

By the way, I know that sometimes my readers disagree with what I say here and I wanted to let you know that not only is it okay with me if you happen to as well, but you also are welcome to tell me so, as long as you do so kindly.

Have a great day!
